Latest project

Monday and Tuesday morning, I was involved in our latest home project. We hired a friend to enlarge the window in the middle room. Since I don't have to work until noon, I acted as his assistant. woo hoo. Here's what the window looked like before we blew it out.

We took out the window, then Danny sawsalled the wall bigger.

Danny built the big wooden box in his workshop on Monday afternoon. Tuesday morning, he built a frame in the open window and we set the box in it. After some outside trim work, we put inthe glass and Danny sealed it all in. Final look.

The inside still needs to be finished, but at least we don't have a big gaping hole in the house.

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Cincinnati for Labor Day Weekend and stayed with Roy and Tif. Aaron and Rita were there too, along with the local favorites. Kids were everywhere, and they make great photo ops. Here are some of the results.

Kylie. She's just learning to walk. I think we can all agree she took her first steps this weekend. Yes, they were tiny, but steps none the less. Go Kylie!

And last but not least, Hazel, our host. She was great. She made pancakes in the morning, grilled out for us for lunch. Thanks Hazel, you're awesome!
